Volklore wins a Student Academy Award®
We are incredibly proud to share some very special news: Volklore by Viktorie Štěpánová has won a Student Academy Award® in the Alternative/Experimental category!
The FAMU graduation film was selected from a record field of 2,972 submissions from 894 colleges and universities around the world. Volklore is the first Czech film ever to receive a Student Academy Award® in the Alternative/Experimental category.
The story is not quite over yet. The Gold, Silver and Bronze medal placements will be revealed at the 53rd Student Academy Awards® ceremony on September 14 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
We will be there with the film and its team, eagerly waiting to find out which medal Volklore will bring home from Toronto.
